We can't afford to have a common outcry of panic about the Trump-Nazi and crew. We just can't. That won't bring a cure for this situation. And we need a cure. Here are my thoughts about what doesn't transform, and what does.

***How to Make a Real Difference in The Era of Trump-Bullshit-Hate-Mongering Fear***
Listen up. Trump is a hateful, hate-mongering, violence-loving asshole. Granted. But has my opinion, or my reaction to people supporting this asshole, made a difference? Or will it?
No. Dammit. And for God’s sake, I want to make a fucking difference! It’s important! It’s crucial! It’s critical!
So what do I do?
I could share my disgust on Facebook. I have done so!. But so what – I’m preaching to the choir! And those friends of mine who disagree with me are kind to ignore those posts of mine that they don’t want to see, and we don’t discuss politics.
I have a shit-ton of opinions. But are my opinions, my anger, my fear going to make any real change? Are yours? I’m afraid not.
But I strongly feel that we need to know what *will* make real change, and as for me I do know what won’t and what will. *What will* is nothing that I or you are accustomed to really practicing. But we have to start right now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Right spanking now!
Here’s what has to be understood, and practiced, and stood in, along with whatever actions you feel moved to make. Two things: (1) Bringing a different energy into your experience – not instead of, but in addition to; and (2) Doing what you feel heartfully pushed to do with as much grace and integrity as possible.
Does that sound just too, too “California”??? “Bringing a different energy into your experience.”
For some, this sounds like a load of crap, and I understand why it would. Here’s the deal. I’m a very practical person, and I am a very spiritual person. Bringing those two aspects of myself together has been a lifelong work, and I can report that I finally understand how this w orks. Does that mean that my work is finished? Ha! No. It just means that the work I now do is on point. Consciously on point.
What this means is that you don’t actually do your healing – you are the one who issues the invitation and dares to wait for the guests (the answers, the solutions) to arrive at the door, through you! You invite the light, the healing, the joy, the whatever-it-is-for-you into your experience, and it does what you can’t even imagine doing. For instance: For decades, people were wanting to tear down the Berlin Wall. Did it happen? No fucking way! It stayed, ruining peoples’ lives, creating all kinds of hell. Then, one magical day, it was gone. Poof! People were standing on it, sitting on it, singing atop it while taking bits and pieces of the wall away in their pockets.
What made that happen? Was it a bunch of people who worked for decades to confront, to obstruct, to argue, to object, to hate, and to fear?
Not bloody likely. Think about it in terms of effort and reward: If the results that you get were in fact directly in proportion to the amount of energy you put out, you’d be a billionaire right now. Same goes for things like pushing against fearful people: If your results of putting your revulsion out there and marching enough and signing enough whatevers, were directly in proportion to outcome, you should not even know a reality in which Trump is running for anything other than his life!
It is said that what we resist persists. And when we hear that, so many of us nod our heads knowingly and say, “Yep, that’s absolutely true.” And then we are confronted with an evil person like Trump, and the first thing we do is start resisting. We need to resist its advent in our lives, no lie, but how we resist it is paramount! If we resist only, think it will persist to some degree? (Better nod your head knowingly, if you ever have.)
Well, then, how do we bring a healing energy, a transformational potential, into this experience, particularly when it’s so frightening? We have to root ourselves in a Truth-with-a-capital-T that is Truer, and therefore more powerful, than what is happening to frighten us. When I have no idea what to say or do, no idea what the opposite of ugliness might be in a given situation, I go for the grand Truth that Spirit is also present – goodness, light, love, joy, justice, truth! This does require that I trust in the presence of that energy, that Spirit, and that I claim that shit even when I am like, "Holy God, what is HAPPENING here???"; and that is not easy. May I say that again? THAT IS NOT EASY. But IT IS CRITICAL! By doing this, I bring that energy and that Truth into this earth plane as well as into my life. And things change.
Does that sound real? No? Need some proof?
Okay, you’re a miserable-feeling human being going on about your miserable-feeling life, and suddenly you meet someone and you fall in love. And now you feel like a million bucks! The sun seems to actually shine brighter, and people seem to be kinder to you, smiling at you on the street! Things that bothered you, you no longer care about – they’re not a big deal any longer! Life is goooood!
What happened? Did your world change? Well, it did, but not without your input, my friend! No, your energy shifted. You let love in! You let your love out! Your energy changed! You walked in your feeling of love.
This is what we have to do if we want true transformation. We have to walk in an upleveled feeling, and not while denying anything we are feeling currently! We can’t help it if people are blindsided, ignorant, morally repugnant, buying in to this Nazi mentality. We can’t help them by fighting them in any way whatsoever.
Instead, we have to bring into our perception and our spiritual practice something akin to: God is present in this situation. Peace is present in this situation. Energetic change, joy, the upleveling of experience, etc., is present in this situation! And bringing in that Truth, heals! It shifts! We don’t deny the fear! But we don’t rest there either!
Instead, we bring something higher into our view of what is happening and our vibrational relationship with what is happening: a greater Truth (not my-Truth-over-your-Truth, but the Truth of what-is: Joy, Love, Compassion, Energy – energies that are far more powerful than fear, if we will only give them a seat at the table!). It is so personal! We have to individually find for ourselves what higher sense really resonates with us! For one person, taking action in a way that makes her feel empowered and loving and motivated is a bringing of Spirit into the situation. For another person, disengaging from the terror long enough to meditate and reconnect with his own peace and trust is that invitation.
Peace can be: bringing peace to our perspectives. Peace can be: writing something like this piece! Peace can be: calming ourselves. Peace can be: detaching from the problem long enough to let some intuition bring us a different way of dealing with this nightmare.
What we resist, persists. Yet we have to resist evil. We just can’t fight evil without a great loss of life and lost possibilities. We need the unknown solutions that come with invitation, intuition and inspiration, because, honey, we clearly are not exercising our solutions right now!
But I strongly feel that we need to know what *will* make real change, and as for me I do know what won’t. What *will* work is what removes unnecessary attention from this crazy game-show "reality"-TV fool, and place our expectant attention and efforts on possible solutions that we haven't even considered, and which won't come without our inviting in a different kind of energy, a different kind of solution, a different kind of approach to this kind of situation. This is not what most of us are accustomed to really practicing. But we have to start right now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. Right spanking now.
And by the way, Bernie will be our next President. I’m just sayin’…
